Successful "Spring Fundraiser" at The Abbey
The May 16th Spring Fundraiser is now history; it was a big success and a learning experience. We have a lot of "supporters" to thank for their generosity in participating, donating time, funds, and auction items, and making the event fun and successful. Click for More Info
New Additions to the "Pack"
May 22, 2009 - Ladyhawke and Shone presented the RMWF pack with four new members on May 8th and
all are healthy and doing fine. Three of the pups were taken from their shelter on May 21st in order to
develop ambassadors for the pack. They are one female, Cherokee (Aniyunwiya), and two males, Lakota and Apache (Ndee). One pup,
gender unknown, Navajo (Dine'e), remains for her parents to raise. Cherokee, Lakota, and Apache are being bottle fed and
have plenty of babysitting offers from RMWF Friends of the Wolves. Click for More Pup Pics

Christmas 'Spirit' and Alexandra
Alexandra's Notes:
I first held Spirit at 3 weeks of age and hand fed her with an eye dropper, she was okay with humans at that point. The next visit was a month later and I was able to entice her to me with hot dogs; with Mark's help we managed to get a harness on her and she took me for a walk around the Sanctuary. Lately she's been very elusive; but since Zoya was put in the enclosure with Spirit she has been observing all the love exchange between Zoya and human visitors and is intrigued. She made my Christmas when she climbed on top of her house and gave me a kiss all over my face; I just know that very soon others will be able to experience that thrill as well.
